New Player's Cheat sheet

Welcome fellow player to RBRP. This is a quick list of things to do and not to do so that you don't get to overwhelmed right at the start. Most of us when we join a new site want to get right to the meat and start rping. Below should give you an opportunity to do so.

don'ts:

• During your time of thinking what you want to play and what your character should be I would recommend playing human and nothing exotic for a new player. I recommend this so that you have a better chance of meeting other players. A lot of players refuse to rp with anyone who is considered to be in the other category of species.
  
  
• Second if you do decide to add a little spice to your character don't overpower it. Your new and this is a game which means you're low man on the totem pole at the moment. Having your character shoot fireballs from his eyes and lightning out of your arse will get you labeled as a power player and no one likes to play with power players. Most people earned what they do and their power you have to too.
  
  
• Thirdly don't get disheartened if people don't respond to your first thread in the siring board. Not everyone is around all the time and it can take a while. This site is world wide and people live in different time zones. So just be patient and use the time that your waiting for a response to read. Reading here is more important than writing. Knowing what's going on and finding interesting characters that you think you would like to know will give you an edge when your free of the Bid board to explore the rest of what this site has to offer.
  
  

Do's

• Read the rules of the site. It will make your time more enjoyable so that you don't get the staff on you for infractions. If you don't understand a rule or need clarification pm a Mod and ask for assistance it's what they're here for.
  
  
• Secondly this is a rp community and as such you will want to meet people to rp with. There are OOC sections on this site for you to meet, chat, and see what the happenings are here. Good way for you to get known and for people to get interested in you and your character is to participate there. Socializing is what this place is ultimately about to share your love of writing and rping with others.
  
  
• Thirdly Read. Yes I've said that before but trust me it will be your most valuable asset here and you might find that you enjoy certain characters stories. There's alot written here and seeing how certain characters have developed will give you a chance to figure out how you want your own character to grow.
