Sires
[/u]Sire: The parent/creator of a vampire used both as the female and male term
A sire is the vampire who sires the human. They are the person who’s biter link you clicked and followed to join the game. A sire is seen as the teacher of all their childer. IG terms you can be a master vampire, which means your vampire does not know who sired them. So they could say their sire died or vanished after the siring took place.
Though it is not as common now, some still look down upon those who have no sire, as they consider them to be weak or not noteworthy because they have no family or bloodline behind them
Binding and Severing with a Sire[/u]
In the game it is possible to bind with another vampire to make them your sire or you theirs. This is done by both vampires in question visiting the hall of binding at Vervain and 40th. You select the option to bind to a vampire as a sire. This process will cost the new childe 5,000 in coin; it will not cost the new sire anything.
Also at the hall of severance, Walrus and 40th you can sever from your sire or childe. For a childe to sever from their sire it will cost 50,000 coins and 1000 blood. However on request a sire can do this process for free.
Finding a Sire[/u]
If you have never played the game before you will need somebody to provide a link so you can join. You can request a link from any sire on the potential sire list; however most sires prefer to Role-play out the siring before they provide their link.
To help you find a sire you may wish to read this guide. HERE
Childer[/u]
A childe: A derogatory term for a young vampire, inexperienced or foolish vampire. The plural form is childer. The term also applies to those who have been turned and are under a sire. Each new childe under one sire provides the sire with 10 BP per new childe
Severing a Childe[/u]
For a sire to sever a childe from their family line they must go to Walrus and 40th where the hall of severance can be found. They will then have the option to sever from their childe for no coin and only 1 AP. Often a childe is severed if they have displeased their sire, or have been inactive for too long.
Houses and Bloodlines[/u]
A large family line which all resides under one master vampire is often referred to as a House. Often a House will share a singular name. Most Houses and/or bloodlines are considered family to any vampire who may be a member.
Partners[/u]
Often the term partner is taken on by two vampires who bind together for marriage or very strong friendship. The bind ritual within the game adds the partner to the vampires stats which in turn strengthens their bonds. This is shown as ‘Partner Bound with …’ IG.
Binding and Severing a Partner[/u]
To bind to a partner the vampires must go to the hall of binding and each pay a sum of 10,000 coins. It is often custom to have one or more other vampires present at the binding to stand as witnesses.
To sever from a partner a vampire must go to the hall of severance and pay 25,000 coins. The partner does not have to be present for a severance to take place.
Succour[/u]
When you have a partner you can use the scroll of succour to quickly go to their location within the game whenever you may wish. Also the cost of AP between the two partner bound vampires when using telepathy is largely discounted. [/center]
Good Luck!
